LABOR-MANAGEMENT DISPUTES

Posted 9/24/2007 Printable Fact Sheet

The use of ADR to resolve labor-management disputes varies across the Air Force. This is because the use of ADR in these disputes depends on the terms of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) negotiated between management and local union representatives at various installations or organizations. Attorneys in the division have access to most of the CBAs containing ADR provisions and can call upon an array of ADR experts across the Air Force to assist labor and management organizations with their negotiations regarding the use of ADR. We can also facilitate labor-management negotiations related to the use of ADR.

The division provides assistance in the following areas:

Drafting ADR provisions in CBAs
Reviewing the ADR provisions of other CBAs and providing statistics that demonstrate how well they have worked
Providing ADR training to implement ADR provisions in CBAs
Facilitating CBA negotiations

Policy and Guidance
Executed Agreements by Base
